This is a new, no frills, Legion style Fangtian ji Halberd design I finished today. I made it with the intention of being a mass producible concept polearm, made from cast steel in a mechanized molding facility, that will automatically cast, heat treat, harden, and temper the weapon. The result is a mediocre weapon which is more hard, and less tough. It’s not as much of a problem for a polearm, but the proof of concept has yet to produce passible swords. Once the polearm comes out of the casting facility, it is finally grinded down to a sharp edge, and given a wrapping around the shaft as a grip, (Different colors for their respective legions of course) and secured with an iron crimp. As far as weapons go for the legions, this kind of weapon is of far greater quality than anything typically made in a quickly mass producible manner, and could potentially be a lifesaver for any unit in need of quick arming with battlefield weapons. While the metal isn't horribly brittle, it will buckle under unusual amounts of stress. As long as you don't substitute structural beams with mass produced halberds though, you should be good with one of these cheap, passible polearms in your hands if ever you step into a battlefield scenario.
