These puppies were my first try!
They turned out quite yummy and I didn’t even need the gyoza sauce.
1/2 pack of firm tofu
6”-8” chunk of daikon, I suggest the top part.
A:
Minced chicken or pork 100g
About the end of you pinky finger worth of a piece of ginger and a small clove of garlic minced
Sesame seed oil 1/2 TBSP
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Consume powder (chicken) 1/2 tsp
Salt, sugar, and pepper to taste (I omitted the sugar)
Optional (chives or Japanese Nira, and cabbage chopped up about 1/4 cup of each)
Potato starch or corn starch tiny bit
Salad oil 1TBSP
Gyoza sauce if you want.
Drain the tofu for 10min -30 min. Put on a strainer and put a plate on top, place someth8ng a little heavy on the place, but like 1lb.
Mix A all together. Then mix in the tofu well.
Slice the daikon in about 1/4 to 1/8 strips. Peel the skin off. Microwave then wrapped at 500W for 2:30. Dry of and dust very lightly with the starch. (I think this can be omitted)
Make daikon sandwiches... just a table spoon scoop in each.
Heat frying pan with oil, place the daikon gyoza on the pan. Grill for about 5 minutes each side on low heat.
Eat!

*giggles madly....
doing well - sore from too much physical stuff this weekend... I have to remind myself I'm not 27 any longer!
We had a shake up at work so now I have been moved into training, which is at least fun. I've also been researching the computer program the company uses and it's a real brain teaser - there is no manual. Everything is 'tribal knowledge' or find it on line. At least it keeps my interest.
How about you?
Oh yes - I'll be traveling to England in a few weeks to visit my daughter and new grandson (yet to be born).

Congratulations on the soon to be next wee one!
I am glad work is holding your interest right now, but that sounds like a bit of a pain too. Sounds like you got it all under control!
Me, meh, doing ok. Sleep issues are getting worse, and I gave up driving for the mean time. Kept almost falling asleep hehe... I’ve been in a bad accident before... I don’t need another. Plus I don’t want to hurt anyone.
But, I gotta love Japanese public transportation... it’s very convenient , and the town I live in has most things within a 20 minute walk. So YAY there!
Currently trying Keto to see if I can get this somewhat under control.
Had some good camping with the family too! I love nature!!

Well I know what'cha mean 'bout the sensetivity of some senses... an yeah though sometimes I feel too 'clogged up' ta savor what may well be right in front of me there are other times still when m'senses do a radical about-face' an it seems like even the sight... hell, sometimes even the mere thought'a somethin' will have me writhin' under the merest sight or thought of it... guess as much as I still try bein' in denial'a m'age mentally, m'bod's gotten ta that point where it's like "Yeah mind, you go head an do all those things ya still think we can do...just keep the painkillers nearby or it's gonna really remind ya just how old an worn out yer body's gettin' heh ... Hope things're goin' well with you an yer pride m'Lil'kittysis *hugsya* :)
Wuff's first experience with Daikon was pickling them for condiments on the sliders a while back. Lovely taste! Not nearly as strong and peppery as American radishes.
Bet these would be very tasty!
You mentioned kicking up the flavor even more. Hmm... You already have soy, sesame, ginger, and garlic going in there. Perhaps a wee bit of heat to tweak the taste buds a little? Not a lot, like a bowl of chili, but just a touch to marry with the other spices.
Nice to see new recipes from you again! Hope you're doing well there!

Vrghr has been doing well. Enjoyed the heck out of BLFC convention in Reno, and happily looking forward to Megaplex Con in Orlando in August.
Haven't been doing a lot of new, original dishes lately. Just repeating on some familiar and enjoyed dishes. That's why wuff hasn't posted much new stuff in the recipes.
But got a trio of birthdays to celebrate, so wuffy is planing another special dish for the shop folks next week. Going to do something a little lighter for Summer: Some "Asian inspired" lettuce cups/wraps!
Thinking of trying some "PF Changs" style chicken, some Mongolian Beef, and some Orange Teriyaki Pork options for the fillings. With some sides that folks can add, in a "make your own" style buffet.
Will have pics and recipes up for those if they turn out well!
Glad to hear you've been doing better recently! Hope you stay on that path! *smiles*
Wuff's missed hearing from you. *HUGS HUGS HUGS*
