plus, how is that protecting anything?

Because it makes it more difficult for people to steal/repost without crediting the artist?

Most webcomics I've read have a mark somewhere in there, or at the very least obvious crediting. Pretty standard.

Implying that protecting one's work or wanting your work to be recognized as YOURS is somehow sullying the art form is rude and indicative of a misunderstanding of how personal ownership works

Starting is honestly the hardest part! I've been wanting to actually start this comic for maybe 5 years now?? But the story, conceptually, has come a long way since I first wanted to begin it! So sometimes waiting isn't so bad ^^
