The vibrant flames towered high, threatening to set the tall tree branches alight and the smoke bellowed even higher, blotting out what little light came through the canopy. Embers gently fluttered down past the young dragoness as she watched on in horror. People she knew... people she didn't all running past her, avoiding the flames and the soldiers flying great black and gold banners. Over the crackling of the blazing fire, Pharyth could hear screaming and yelling... begs for mercy and sadistic laughter filled the night's usually peaceful atmosphere. She had to find her father.
