I like the dark somber atmosphere of this drawing. That the dogs look like they are running from something, and that the most significant light in the image seems to be coming from the headlights of an approaching car gives a feeling of anxiety.

The whole image is textured and coloured beautifully, and it's interesting how one half of the image is considerably darker than the other. On that half, the clouds are darker, the trees obscure much of the view, and the leading dog is cast in shadow. By contrast everything on the left of the drawing is illuminated pretty well. This I think gives a feeling of uncertainty.
