circa 2017 so not that old, but still old. was using very thin markers not really meant for large coverage, since i probably started out with puellan (bottom right) and the good markers i have are lacking in a good variety of true reds.
 
Bulbasaur and Memoira (top left) are the only ones true to the actual color of the scanned image, and even then their colors are a bit duller than the source; Puellan ran into the unfixable Red and Neon Problems, while Yurian (bottom left) and Ramza have issues with both contrast and weirdly muddy yellows/overly red oranges that I'm not good enough at image editing to repair. The sort of thing that's kind of unavoidable, in my experience.
