A wolf's digestive system is a lot different than our own. If memory serves me correct, the wolf being a carnivore has a much smaller intestinal tube than man does. He receives less energy from his food due to the lack of vili but if his intestines were longer, the food inside would putrefy leading to bacterial sepsis.
