So! A while back, I tried drawing the OC for my friend
RchlisNomSome, Aveon. All of her OC's are excellent, but the lil mischievous fluff baby has always had a special place in my cold, aging heart. ^^
Juuuuust one problem...I suck at drawing dragons and every attempt to draw him ended with terrible failure and explosions. .________.;
SO...next best option? I decided to try and draw Aveon if he were a young demi-human critter. And with some back and forth with Rchlis herself, this was the end result. It's unconventional, but at last, I've finally drawn Aveon WITHOUT things ending in terrible failure. 'XD

Aveon is my favorite of Rchlis' OCs...for MANY reasons, some of which are probably more obvious than others.
Anyway, seeing a more humanoid take on the big fluffy nutcase is pretty interesting! You managed to keep a lot of his physical attributes when in his draconic form, but transposed them very well to a more human anatomy. The results are pretty good, and I'm glad to hear you're satisfied.
If I have one gripe, its that the feathery wings that extend from Aveon's arms look a little...off. I'm not sure how to describe it, but while the sort of fuzzy/prickly texture all over the rest of him looks okay, those just seem a bit strange. They look almost more like blades, or something. Again, tough to describe...possibly because I'm writing this only ten minutes after getting out of bed. Ha Ha.
Anyway, that aside, the little big guy looks awesome! Here's hoping we'll see more of him in time.
Sincerely,
The Cheshire Cat's Master

Thanks! Glad you liked the final result! :)
Yeah, if my previous commissions are any indication, for one reason or another, I just cannot draw wings to save my freakin' life. 'XD I do see what you mean, so maybe I can see about making some additional adjustments here or there down the road to one day make them look less like they'll chop off limbs. :P
And with any luck, next time we see the fluffy baby, he'll be nice'n well fed. ;)

Lookit this huge dork! That's the face of a critter who's out to steal all your cookies. XD
Anyway, this came out really nice! I have tried before to make a humanoid version of Aveon, but I think this "demi-dragon" approach is the way to go with him. I really like how you struck a nice balance between his dragon and anime-boi features, and how you gave him a really scruffy, wild appearance, especially in his floofy hair and stitched together pants. He's soft and fluffy, but it also shows off his more mischievous side too, which is perfect.
Like CCM said, some parts are a little bit rough, but for something you did on a whim, I'm really happy with how it turned out! Thanks again for doing this, it really means a lot. ^^

And probably still has the most adorably innocent smile ever to try and get out of it when bested. XD
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like the final result! Aveon's always been such a massive bundle of fun, and that playful mischief was always a big part of why...y'know, besides him just being freakin' adorable. :P
Anywho, I'm glad the final result was to your satisfaction! I may make further adjustments so the wings look better. Truth be told, I just suck at drawing wings. Wings, hands, feet...it's all chaos. 'XD
