This is an excerpt from my upcoming book, Sajani Tails: A Ship Called Hope. The scene is mentioned in the two previous books, but doesn't really spoil any of the story.
The First Book in the series is The Wolf's Pawn.

Well, sorry this didn't make the cut, tis the lot of publishing world; half don't have spine and the other half don't know what actual writing is if it fell into their lap.
You have some fine flowing dialogue and excellent mapping of space which allows the world details to really sing.
Best of luck with the rest.

It sort of did make the cut. The book this is from will most likely be under contract when the second ones goes to print. I got permission to post it here and talked the publisher into letting me post one section a week on this site. =) Yay for free advertising. =)
The Sajani Tails have Malita's daughter as the main hero, so the full story of Altaza wouldn't be part of that and that's what he wants to emphasize for now. He's interested in it being written, but not by me. =P
I don't think the publisher is on this site, but just in case he came out here to see this, let me say that he's a really nice person. =P I'm very happy to work with him. He's opposed to the current trend where publishers want every writer to use the same "voice." I think he's taking submissions, but I'm not sure. He hasn't updated the submission page on his website in a while though. He closed the FB page it mentions.

The first book is on Apple Books. Their method of doing links is overly complicated and only works on some devices, so the easiest way to find it is to search my pen name, Chaaya Chandra. It's also available again for Kindle.
So three digital versions now, Apple, Kindle and Nook.
