Let's face it... The Democrats hate the Republicans, and the Republicans hate the Democrats. It's as American as apple pie...
Back in 2013, I'd rendered a doodle of the two anthropomorphic mascots associated with each political party (long before the Trump Administration came into being, and the war between Democrats and Republicans had escalated exponentially)…
In said doodle (recently rediscovered in my cluttered condo), I had a donkey and an elephant make their respective purchases at separate stores that specialize in making piñatas for May 5th - better known as "Cinco de Mayo" - unaware that each candy-filled creation resembles the other party's mortal enemy! (Lucky for both of them, neither one was carrying the bat used to break open each piñata... or things could've gotten really ugly!)
I didn't want to wait a whole year to finally post this doodle gag, so I'd settled for procrastinating three weeks after the traditional Mexican holiday took place this year. I hope many of you like it...
