"That voice...The one that tells you you're worthless and stupid and ugly? It goes away, right?"
Oh my gosh! I totally forgot how much I LOVE Hollyhock! After getting to her introduction during my rewatching of the show, I knew I had to draw her. I didn't want to do anything too complicated, but I did want to practice lineart and figuring out how to make it look better. Still trying to find that ideal line width, but I've learned to make the lines for hair thinner than the body lines and little tips like that.
I did try to color this, but it didn't look right no matter what I did to it, whether it was flat colored, cell shaded, or shaded. So in the end, I wasted a lot of time trying to color this just to keep it lineart. I never even intended to color it in the first place >.>

She's so adorable, I just want to hug her ^^
The variation in the linework gives an interesting look, I really like how fine you made her hair look and the shadow from where it hangs over her forehead really brings it out.
Also, I find it really cute for some reason that we just barely see the curve of her stomach before the picture is cut off.

You and me both ^^
Getting the hair right was strangely the most enjoyable thing about this. Playing around with more dynamic shadows paid off I guess.
This was honestly originally going to be just a headshot, but I decided I really wanted to show off her pudge that makes her so adorable :P
