Don't be upset, Peter. You wouldn't want to be a rebound guy, anyway.

Actually, Madcat is an assistant writer on the series, so he is pretty well versed in the characters. All he is asking is to be mindful that these comics are semi-autobiographical, with many characters based on actual people. The only exception is the real-life Tracy/Tito, who is the complete opposite of how she has been portrayed thus far in Peter & Company.
We've actually taken these types of comments to heart and have decided against continuing to portray Tracy as a bully in the series, since it doesn't feel fair to the IRL Tracy to portray her in that light. We feel it's creating a potential misconception for folks who know that certain characters are based on real people, and we don't want readers to think that the real Tracy is at all guilty of the same things the fictional version does in the comic.
I'll be making a post regarding this later tonight, along with an updated rewrite of a certain page on Peter & Whitney to reflect the change in direction for her character. This whole thing has taught me to tread more carefully in how I portray bullies in stories; there is a lot of emotion and attachment that comes with these characters, and I want to make sure it isn't misdirected.

We understand, we really do. No one has any problem with the RL (Stine, just kidding, but seriously) Tracy; it’s what Fictionalization version of her that kinda rubs people the wrong way. From the way you’re writing her, she’s the “more depth” kind of character than what others see, and I respect that. No one means any offense, myself included.
