[[NOT MY ART]]Of Dragons and Dracology: Essyx - Vol. IV
I found myself shunted into the sphincter at the entrance of the dragon's stomach, and before too long, I was deposited into the stomach proper. The powerful, muscular sac took no time in collapsing down upon its latest meal and squeezing me tightly, mixing me about with the chyme and digestive enzymes that already occupied Essyx's large gut. The belly was an incredibly hostile environment, and had I not cast those protection spells prior, I likely would have found myself in a spot of trouble, and I wouldn't have fared any better than Essyx's previous meals! The thick mucus on the stomach walls and the stomach lining prevented the belly from digesting itself, and despite how powerful the folds of flesh and muscle were upon my body, the walls of the stomach were indeed quite soft! The air was thin, hot and acrid, and already I was beginning to sweat as I struggled to stay above the nutrient-rich soup pooling in the pit of the dragon's belly, but I was determined to stay alive and document my observations of Essyx's digestive processes! Of course, that meant I had to keep my notebook from getting digested!
This is the next segment in the lovely series I commissioned from

Inside the stomach proper, Danathius's documentation continues, though it's a little hard to right in such a cramped environment...
