"You make it sound like we have a choice..."
Jaek snarled. She flicked the dagger and long blade, rain dancing along the edges, as she positioned them against the back of her arms. Kane stood there for a moment, eyes narrowing as he faced her. Then he entered a battle stance as well. Blood still dripped from his face where she clawed him. It'd scar. Just as the wound on her right cheek would from the nasty animal encounter earlier. Damn him! If he had just left her alone. No matter. He'd fall like the others. The other Irr`aden couldn't control her, couldn't keep her bound and in check. Neither would this one.
Though, as the rain fell upon both of them, wet earth permeating the air, she wondered. Why was she always running?
