The static acted as a sort of catalyst during a science lab in one of her classes, warped and drained the color of her fur. one of the elements in the reaction was a metal and the other was a nonmetal, producing a slightly metallic gas that, when it came into contact with her person, clung and chemically mixed with the fur all the way to the root.
At least that's the story I have so far for her color. XD
