The moment the prototype sat on the bench it entered standby mode; it was aware of its surroundings but her receptors, sound, smell, pressure, temperature, pain, pleasure and sight drivers, were turned off. Her right arm had received some minor damage during today’s weapon testing, the coil gun having overloaded and caused the grip to smelt, taking some of her artificial skin and muscle with it. Like her, the coil gun was experimental, powered by a mobile uranium battery and equipped with new jettison mechanics.
The prototype was smart to shut down her pain drivers, otherwise the experience would’ve been agonizing. Androids can’t predict all possibilities to an outcome but have faster reaction times than an organic. Her skeleton, which was made of a new titanium derivative, withstood the spray of flesh melting plasma. Additionally, there was an uneven proportion of energy output; each single leg capable of delivering maximum energy equivalent of a powerful shotgun blast, could easily bend most metals and cause severe damage to organics. Her left leg distributed less power on average with each step, meaning that part of her was not synched with her core. Her power core was installed in her diaphragm and right next to it was her spinal port, a socket that connected to her spine that was responsible for accessing her information banks without having to remove her dermal plating.
The three engineers were the ones who concepted her and her manual still had to be completed, so they were ultimately the only staff qualified to tinker with the model. One engineer checking up on her power core, the other commencing repairs to her arm and the last one, Lilium, was calibrating her gyro joint. Not enough gyro fluid in one of her veins causing increased friction.
Lilium Machina designed her face. She began working on it after the team got the green light from upper management. Sitting at the corner of the break room, the view of the entire megacity on her left through a dense glass window, the girl hastily sketched a few faces while occasionally taking a sip of her latte and biting her spicy chicken sandwich. They agreed the new model would be feminine, so she focused on making the lines gentle. A “diamond” chin and fine nose, small round ears, emerald gem eyes and well-done eyebrows. Her hairstyle was based on the recent fashion craze. They all picked “Sketch Number 13” as the face. She then sculpted it with AMACO Air Dry Clay. The team was happy, so she added the finishing touches of choosing a wig and applying paint. The face the prototype has is identical to the sculpture and evidence of the team’s coordination.
Top grade materials and improved AI with up to date combat subroutines. This assassin model is going to be the next step in espionage, if they can impress the investors next week and with no blunders.
