This time: The wild avalonians!
Avalonians are essentially my setting's version of "the Elves" but since i don't want people to think they are stuff from tolkien i changed their names. They fey are, after all, plant based creatures in humanoid form, at least in my setting, one kind for each of the gods who brought them to exist in the prime material.

If she was a dog she'd be wearing the front kneepads in a different way... anyway... the avalonians (elves, basically) of my setting are supposed to be plants, since once they die they form the trees which hold their memories and thus are extremely valuable to the elves themselves... trying basically to justify why the elves are such tree huggers. 😜
What you're looking at is their "fruit" which basically is the only stage of their growth pattern that is motile and able to interact with people and form new memories.
That is true for all the avalonians, though some don't look very plant-like.
