Daily Doodle: New Sekhmet Portrait Study
Some doodles I did in November of "me".
For the record, Sekhmet has changed since the last ref I made. She hasn't had black hair in over a year XD (Do not fret if you made gift art of the old her, I still love it and its my own fault for not drawing a full color pic of myself in over a year to get the point across!)
I don't see the point in keeping it that way, because I don't have black hair anymore either.
She is typically seen with fire hair. Im thinking the flames should change color and size with her emotions.
With normal hair, its long and blonde :) The color also makes an easy transition into flame when it ignites.
Why does she have fire hair going on?
I like to think of her as a fire elemental :) - and she wields the flames of stars when fighting.
I also see her in a less modern world. Something slightly more medival(maybe even iron-age esque, since she is a paleo felid), fantasy-like. I need to redesign her armor. The jewelry she wears is celtic in nature. Because ive got some irish going on in me and I really love that culture :)

Is Sekhmet still a semi-divine being whose favorite past time is hunting down demons, or has that aspect changed as well? I ask because I've had a seed of a story revolving around that incarnation of the character, and I was wondering if I needed to change a few things because of that.
Wow. You look more lioness-like than ever before. Yet the doodles seem anthro-expressive. The left hand small drawing looks thoughtful or indifferently observant of something. The right one is like, "Yeah, I'm Sekhmet, who the hey are you??!!"
The detail and lines of the head are so realistic. I enjoy the work on and the appearance and "feel" of many features. The features like the fur, whisker spots, the realistic leonine-type nostrols in the nose, the lips.
