Well, here we are again... Those of you who have been keeping track of me lately know that I have a "shinychu" form... A form given to me by the incomparable
LunarKeys...!
Naturally, The artwork itself is done by the prolific and endlessly kindhearted
Shiro! :)
I am... SO happy with how this turned out... Everything from the details of my clothing, to the pendant I wear, my general hair style... spot on.
And the expressions he uses...<3 Especially later on in the sequence... Are lovely.
Regarding what's going on in the picture itself...
The shinychu form is semi-stored within that silver collar on my neck, specifically, the pendant, even more specific, the gem within it... It might be safer to say that the blueprints for the form are embedded in my soul, while the collar takes passion, desire, and intent, and converts it to arcane energy, in order to assist in transformation. While I *can* shift into this form without it... it's far more difficult, at least until I've shifted often enough to get used to the finer points of it...
The idea in this particular scenario, is that, even after my first initial transformation into this shinychu form... the "Aspect" of it is still hidden subconsciously within my system...
This means that, given the right stimuli, this form will re-emerge, even if I wasn't focusing on it...
Canon-wise, this is one of the first times I realized that "The Chu" was still within me, even though I reverted.
Now, The thing about shinychus? As one might expect of a raichu, they *adore* electricity. While they still eat regular food, electricity is like candy to them, which also fuels their powers.
Now, as one might expect from a creature who feeds and uses electricity, they have special senses for detecting the stuff. They *also* get cravings for it.
So... When I bought that four-pack of AA-Cell batteries during my shopping, I figured it was just me getting them for my game controllers or something.
Turns out... my chu aspect has been slowly needling at my subconsious, until it could cause me to slip...
Setting my purchases on my counter at home, my mind was hazy... Ever had the "Post shopping Haze" where you're mentally and physically fatigued, and just happy to be home? Yeah. That's where I was.
So I wasn't making a conscious effort to think about what I was doing, when I unwrapped the batteries, and pressed it between my lips... M-Mh-mmMMnnh~<3 Tastes like... citrus...<3
That little, unwitting acceptance of electricity into my system in a chuish manner was all my aspect needed to force itself out completely...
At this point, I'm still distracted enough that I estimate the throbbing in my shoes is just from the long walk, the tingling, and periodic convulsion of my fingers just a brief cramp from carrying that bag around...
The twitch. Twitch. TWITCH of my ears... wait... what's going on...? and what's with the sparks in my peripheral vision...? Those aren't fatigue... not... wait...!
And from this point, the story continues on the next page... >u o

I'm inclined to agree with you. basically like a chuish Neko... nekomata, I think the term is? *shrug* I'm usually not much for those, since I see them as "Lazy" ways to draw animal folk... but weh. in this case, the quirk with pokemon ears, tail, and minor traits (like cheek pouches) make it unique enough to lean it into the "appealing" range for me.
Thanks for the comment on here by the way, Alex. <3

I really love how Shiro depicted you as a human here, actually! You look so freakin' cute with your capris and hoodie and ponytail, not to mention, well.. those huge paws forming <3
Also a really big fan of this type of "subconcious" tf trigger, the changes creeping up in one's mind, not even realizing oneself is taking these actions because of inner-creaturey desires. : )

Oh, Absolutely... There's something that just gives me shivers of unbridled joy at the thought that your inner self becomes so strong, that it first manifests as silly habits... but then continues to bubble all the way into full-blown physical changes... *Especially* If you start embracing those emerging instincts...
And yeah... Shiro does a wonderful job with pawhands... Delightfully thick, but also managing to remain articulate...<3

Shiro did a wonderful job of representing how I look in this. The clothes, for example, are spot on. :)
Also, his ability at vibrant facial expressions has really boosted over the period of time it took to complete this! (About half a year: No complaints, really... poor guy is just so busy!)
