And the finished blade, the wrap is hemp rope its been doublepinned with steel fittings, the handguard is rod and bar steel stock cut and hammerforged into shape. the pins are brass, the wood itself is white ash or poplar i cant remeber right now. blades balance is slightly forward as thats my preferance and the wood was coated in a fiberglassing to give it waterproofing, the insides been filled with wax and theres a felt cap wher the fittings meet the scabbard. about.. 65 hours of work total
