Hardback (huh-ard baa-hck): Word (wuh-urd)

1. A type of book that is usually ten or more dollars over priced due to
cardboard being the primary material making up a book's front and back
cover. "Nintendo Labbo shows that cardboard is extremely expensive and
therefore justifies my spending $80 on this hardback copy."

2. A back, or the posterior side of a body trunk, that is more turgid, or less
soft, than usual. See a massage therapist or stop sleeping on rocks.
"Dangit, sleeping on those rocks has given me a hard back."

3. When the passage from one location to a previous location is extremely
difficult for various reasons, like you dropped all of your nails that you just
bought along the way. "Ow! Stepping on these nails is making this trip a
hardback!"

4. Returning something to a previous owner/holder with excessive force.
“Randy, quit throwing the baseball with such hardback!”

5. Satchels worn over both shoulders with a very turgid nature. This is often
due to a horrendous amount of textbooks held within the satchel. “No, I
don’t lift, I just carry fifty chemistry editions in my hardback.”

6. The state of being so surprised that one messes up saying ‘ack’ in
exclamation and instead says a jumble of other consonants and vowels.
