...what's a Mega?

Honestly, the actual lore for them is extremely vague, cryptic and even somewhat inconsistent (albeit intentionally) but I can at least provide a brief summary! They are basically otherworldly entities that masquerade as something you're familiar with in an attempt to interact with you, but unfortunately, either they have a very poor understanding of why we enjoy these designs or they just don't do a very good job of copying them and as a result, the forms they take are often incredibly distorted compared to the source material that they're trying to replicate, resulting in these kind of uncanny beasts. Beyond that, they're pretty much completely incomprehensible in terms of behavior and thought beyond the fact that they seem to be completely non-hostile.
