This whole chapter is an annoying piece of work. I've gone through more than six complete rewrites up to a point that the initial structure and purpose of the chapter is completely gone.
The raccoon Niklas wants nothing more than to be accepted.
The lynx Jannik is longing for a friend.
The poodle Caspar would love to see the world burn.
And the lion Ayo is looking for good hair spray.
Remember, the shadows are darkest in summer.
