really need to ditch that attitude. i personally believe that PKMN trainer from brawl could of been dumped in favor of mewtwo.

And it's true that if they had put both Mewtwo and Lucario in Brawl, then there would be no fanwar. But it is what it is, and Nintendo can really only truly make up for it by making another Smash game and Lucario not being in it -- you guys don't know the heartbreak as to having something and then having it stripped away from you later on.

well, if playing melee and going into training mode to kill 999% lucarios just isnt enough, theres the promise as lucario as an expansion character, and the return of mewtwo as a locked char in the fangame, super smash flash might appeal to you...

True, I've looked into SSF. Thing is, there's a major difference between a fan project and Nintendo acknowledging "Hey, we fucked up, we're going to rectify our mistake and put Mewtwo in the next Smash." Nintendo doing that --> more Mewtwo fans in the future because more people would get interested in his character because they'd be playing as him in whatever new Smash that would be.

I've also heard that there's been a good bit of work done on a character model importer for Brawl+ (despite me never having played Brawl in my life, I do keep up to date on what's going on with it) - even that putting Mewtwo in the game would still only be a fan addition rather than acknowledgement from Nintendo that they did something wrong.

I don't see why you won't be satisfied with Mewtwo reappearing alongside Lucario.

Simple - because the Lucario fans will not have known what it's like to have their character sit on the sidelines for a series - to have had fame in their hands and then had it stripped away. In order for things to be right, SSB4 would need to have Mewtwo but not Lucario, and then SS5 would need to have both Mewtwo and Lucario. Anything less and Mewtwo fans will still have gotten the short end of the stick.
