Chester: Cross country was my start in competitive running. I ended up multi-classing into marathon and long distance track because it was a bit easier to get a scholarship in those disciplines. Running on a track is fine and all, but I kinda miss having to get the dirt out of my hooves and ankles.

So I took up beach running as an outlet. The town the campus is in doesn't exactly have dirt trails to work with, but it does have a couple miles of beach that I can run back and forth on. Besides, having to trudge through sand is better for my joints, and good for endurance, since I have to work a little harder to get through it.
