It is still looking really good! :) You know what you could do as a cute touch? You could put makeshift patches over any parts where the paint is chipping away. That way it just looks like a very well used tire. :D
Seriously though, every time I see this thing I just want to hug it. >u<

Heh, it was a simple design I got made by Hongyi...
My instructions were two views; two concentric circles, one 1.5m, and the other .5m. Then a rectangle with rounded edges; .7m x 1.5m representing the wheel rotated.
I also put two black dots in the picture to represent the valves... Ehh I can put a screencap in scraps. I made the drawing in a presentation program because it was easier to do the dimensions.
The thing was $220 shipped on the oddball chance you have more money than common sense, like me... =^^;

White for two reasons: Proof of concept, so I really had no set color. Second, their colors can be sketchy. With the natural white, there is no concern for the color coming off.
I think color might have increased the price a tad too. When I was trying to make a wheeled eevee,they wanted $20 extra to make the tires black...

Oh, and on the other oddball chance you might want to use something like this in the pool, I'd suggest dropping the width to .5m or less, maybe even .3m. At its current width, Hongyi's plastic is very stretchy, and when firmly inflated the wheel balloons out easily to about 1m wide! (Making it a large, but slightly unstable cushion on a hard surface...)
