THIS IS NOT SHADOW :(
Black Doom as a hedgehog. Don't like the idea? Don't comment. :)
I hate the background. This picture took FOREVER to do too, it's originally almost 3500x4000 pixels... actually I think it may be bigger than that... but yeah. It was huge and took forever. Haha. :)
I like how Doomyface turned out though... for the most part.

This is cool... the only thing I would suggest is to darken the eyes, mouth and ears a bit, to match the lighting od the rest of the pic. They have a bit too much of a glow... try making them a bit more 'reflective'. Avoid absolute whites, especially when you've got a lot of dark lighting and shadows going on.
Thanks a lot for the comment. :) I had originally made the skin extremely pale to make a bit of contrast, to make him look almost... ah, sickly, I guess you could say? But if it makes the rest of the piece look poor I can make it darker. As for the eyes I never thought of that. Will definitely keep it in mind.
I really appreciate it!

Doesn't make anything look poor... they just look a bit detracted from the rest of the pic. I think even the background does the job in an impressionist fashion... just think about how much light there is and where it is.
I find it helps me if I colour the whites 50% grey when doing the first flat colours... and then adjust once the shading is in.
