As promised, here's Legal Beagle's bio:

Name: Candice Merryweather (aka Legal Beagle)

Species: Canine – standard beagle hound

Height: 5’ 7”

Weight: 130 lbs

Hair: Blonde (shoulder length)

Occupation: Barrister (Queen's Counsel) at the International lawfirm of McGown and Associates based in Melbourne, Australia.

Weapons: She carries the Sword of Justice which is not only a formidable weapon, it can also emit “stun bolts” that can do the equivalent of tazering suspects. The Sword can also emit a tight laser beam that can be increased in intensity. The special powers of the sword only work in Legal Beagle’s paws. Another weapon she has is not really an attack weapon, it’s called the Scale of Justice. Legal Beagle can summon it at anytime she needs it from the Fourth Dimension, it has the look of an old fashioned balancing scales. When the Scale of Justice is summoned, it serves as the ultimate truth detector. When a suspect answers truthfully, the scales remain balanced, when they lie or deceive, the scale tips over to one side or the other. Legal Beagle is the only one who can operate it. She also wears a utility belt that holds her sword and a few other items.

Powers: Aside from her sword and scales, Legal Beagle has the ability to fly as well as super strength and astro-projection powers. In other words, she can “project” her paws or feet forward and control them with her own limbs. For example, if a suspect was fifty feet away from her, she could astro-project her fists to punch him or leg to kick at him without moving towards him. On rare occasions, she can astro-project her entire body from one place to another but that power has it’s limits.

Weaknesses: Overconfidence, Headstrong, often acts without thinking things through first. Although the special powers of the sword and scales only work for her, these items can be stolen and are coveted since the sword is solid silver and the scales are solid gold.

Costume: Legal Beagle’s outfit is modeled after the famous statue symbol of justice, a lady in a white gown holding a balancing scale in one hand and a sword in the other. She does wear a white rap around eyemask on her face. The white gown she wears resembles a toga, except her’s has a very short hemline above the knees (about as short as Lady Liberty’s is). She also wears white gloves and sandals.

History: After Candice graduated with her law degree from Oxford, she became very frustrated with a justice system that wasn’t perfect with many innocent people going to jail and guilty ones often acquitted on technicalities. She became bitter and traveled to America in the summer of 1999 to relax. While vacationing in Washington D.C., Candice stood and admired the Lady Justice statue in front of the Supreme Court Building, wishing that true justice in the law could be both fair and strong. Walking into a nearby park at night, Candice saw a strange sight: an odd looking figure running towards a mysterious doorway in the middle of the park. Candice ran after it and through the doorway, unwittingly entering the Fourth Dimension, a realm full of strange beings and magic. In this dimension, Candice discovered she had super strength and the ability to fly. Using these to defeat an evil army trying to invade the Fourth Dimension, the beings of that realm rewarded Candice by allowing her to retain these powers on Earth. They also, after reading her mind, fashioned her a costume and power items based on the justice statue she had seen earlier. Then they returned her to present day earth, as Legal Beagle.
