This is a new page of sketches I've drawn for my OC Leuce, (pronounced "lew-suh") otherwise identified as Model F17-FC77. For those of you who are seeing her for the first time, she's an "anthroid": an "anthro-android". What I can reveal to you at this time is that she was assembled and deployed to a civilian area by her higher-ups for an unknown assignment.
In the top sketch, Leuce's utilizing an energy pistol to fight and defeat her enemies; I've shown a separate sketch of that pistol below for a better view. At the bottom left, she's making use of her sharp retractable claws of dense alloys for CQC. These two aforementioned sketches are meant to show that being a combat anthroid is part of her design.
The bottom right sketch shows Leuce in a battle-damaged state, as in what she looks like underneath her seemingly-feline appearance. This is mainly just for me to explore how she would be designed as a robot. Judging by the look on her face, whoever just tried to shoot and/or blow her up is in for it now!

I do like the blank expression for when she's shooting that gun, it makes her appear more like a robot underneath the fur. Very nice stuff! I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing here so far, I don't see powerful lifelike benevolent androids nearly often enough. :3

I can understand the sentiment of the evil-AI trope being overused. I mean, all you gotta do is make an android act like one of the organic heroes, maybe create a benevolent flesh creature and swap for a machine body. I mean, is it really that hard?
I also wanted to do a different take on a character's emotional nature. When it comes to making stoic and professional characters, a lot of them are guys, and girls are more often than not made to be very undeniably emotional for reasons like 'it's a better seller.' What I'm doing so far is my way of mixing up the formula, her being a robot notwithstanding.
Again, glad you enjoy my work, and I hope she's as badass as the way you like it!

I like all of that, and I also like when there's a little bit of that "robotic" element still in their personalities. An AI can be very good at acting like a human, and I certainly believe that one can think and feel just as validly as a human can, though the exact nature of how they do it might be different. Think of them as aliens in that way. They may have very different methods of thinking (or processing data), but they can still come to similar conclusions and hold lively friendly conversations. :3
I think androids have the potential of being incredible friends and an amazing cooperative species to humanity that together can achieve anything. I love to celebrate the unique things that androids can bring, which is why my main android guy, Therm, has a somewhat formal and logical personality but is also very sweet and kind to most humans. :)
