Hydras are weird. I thought I'd introduce Rosendra to the idea of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but she doesn't seem to get the concept.
Of course having three heads and three tongues DOES mean she can taste it all at once, so I suppose it's similar? I wonder if she tastes all three items separately, or if they mix together in her senses. I suspect there is a fair degree of separation, otherwise she wouldn't be as good of a hunter when trying to track down smells. I'm sure they mix in some way, but without three heads it is rather hard for us single-headed to really understand. I'd ask her more details, but it's going to take her some time to get all that peanut butter out of her muzzle, and her other heads are busy. Hydras can talk with several mouths full, but it's impolite to do it with all of them.
One of these days I'll get her to try a sandwich the right way. I'll even make her one, considering her paws are not well suited to such things. Knowing her, she will ask me to make several different types and eat them all at once anyway. I wonder what a burger, PBJ and a monte cristo sandwich would all taste like. On second thought, I don't.
Sigh.
It's the same with nachos. It's NOT the same if you chug a jar of salsa with another nose in a bag of chips.
She tried to "make a cake" once by eating eggs, flour and sugar. Be assured, a mouthful of flour did NOT go well. Little known fact, when a hydra coughs, all three heads cough at once. You can't imagine the mess that made.
Don't even get me started on how she eats soup!

Well, I mean, if each head has a separate part of the sandwich they love, and want only that part, it's not going to make any difference to the stomach and beyond, so...I mean, unless they don't share a stomach...but I mean, the digestive tract must join up at some point right? The proportions of the torso are just way too small compared to the rest for all 3 heads to have separate digestive tracts...then again, since it's all housed within one torso, I guess the nutrients will still be shared equally regardless...
