I particularly like the attention to detail with the labeling of the bottles behind the bar, and nobody has mentioned that yet. XD "In order from left to right we have- we start with the traditional "XXX", a "*" below some text is next(I think), then we have the "K.O." for those that make outrageous claims in relation to how much they can drink before they pass out/puke, the next is illegible, then we have the ever popular "?" for those that claim a discerning palette (except no-one remembers what the hell it is...), next we have the "I" (something) "S" whatever it is, for those that can't hold their liqueur- we have the "Old Hag" brew, then there's the "X(" for those that are depressed and want to drink their cares away (despite the fact that those cares come back in the morning), next we have one for the 'players' of the bar scene- the big "G"!, last, and quite possibly the least, is the little known "Blank Label" ale- a good drink for those visiting the bar for the first time, it quickly loses ground to harder (or better brewed) drinks of choice. The rest of them? Only old Mr. McGruderson, the founder of the bar, knows and he ain't telling, he's been buried these last seventeen-some years now. His grandson Harold manages the bar now, but he just slapped some prices on all them old bottles and told the barmaid to let folks folks taste but five of the 'old stock', as he calls 'em, before they had to decide on a drink or get outta th' way so's the next bloke kn' make 'is choice. The sign out front took a bit o' a beating one winter an' the first three letters got knocked clean off o' the sign! Now it just says 'ruderson's Bar, but nobody really cares, it still be the same grand ol' place it always was." *ahem* Well, my muse had a bit of fun there, hope you don't mind, but this really is a fun ole fight scene!
There's also a hidden bottle of "Balto Heroic Golden Lager" ( http://www.beerblitz.com/Balto_Lager_Details.html ) -- can you find it?
Haha aside other fortunate events today, your comment totally brought a smile to my face. I'm not much of a alcohol connoisseur, so I just slapped on whatever I could onto those bottles. A bunch of blank bottles are about as good as tin cans with no labels you find in the back of your pantry. Who knows whats in them, aside the "?" bottle! Though ol 'ruderson's Bar' would be the hotspot for curious folks.
Thank ya for the amusing words, hope your Christmas went well!
