This was something I have worked on for the past 2 days, long periods of time, starting out as a rough sketch, then into this.
First I used colored pencils only for the white furred area's.
Marker for the pink and black area's, then colored pencil over it to make it look like fur, shading etc.
Final pastels in the background that I had to blend in with my fingers, trying to keep from making a gigantic mess all over the artwork itself was scary! and stressful!
Even though I took a lot of precautions I still had problems with it around the fur area's, like the white fur off his back coming off, it kinda got blurred out slightly with the blue pastels due to having to blend it with my fingers.
But I am proud of it, the first attempts was acrylic paint, but that didn't turn out so well, so I spent a day thinking and went with something I knew how to handle better, and one that I could add details in much easier, and much more effectively.
I'm proud of it, so that's how it is..
This is a Christmas gift to somebody.
