Not all that farfetched an idea, really.

No, but I'd love to if it's online :)
And I'll admit, I never watched the actual Hardware Wars until I was much older, but I still remember seeing the trailer on a TV show as a kid (likely within a collection of videos or commercials or something) - but that tag line has never been forgotten. ^.^

I love Hardware Wars and it has an important impact on a particular argument about Star Wars.
There's long been an argument about the scroll text (or non-existence of it) in Star Wars with a large number of people saying that it was added later, that the original that played in the theatres didn't have scrolling text.
Star Wars came out in '77. Hardware Wars came out in '78, the very next year.
Well, HW came out a year later and this parody *has* scrolling text. Why would the parody have scrolling text if the original didn't?
(By the way, love the hammer ship. I just have one question. If it's a troop transport, can it carry Hammer's Slammers?)
