I guess I have a lot of explaining to do...
In real life, the Lockheed U-2 Dragon Lady is a... quirky plane to pilot. Thanks to its huge wingspan and low weight, it's able to reach insane altitudes... but in order to do so, the landing gear is compromised. This is where the chase car comes in: it's an extra pair of eyes.

Honestly, the Dragon Lady wasn't my first aeromorph choice, but I couldn't help myself imagining scenarios based on the importance of the relationship between plane and chase car, something that I was aware of long before the Aeromorph virus propagated through my system.
Look a 'em both, blushing. She's trying to flirt. He's trying to mend her ankle, which may not be hurt at all, but hey, just to be safe...
Why wasn't such a rad plane in my radar, initially? Its design is elegant, but too simple. I ended up giving her a Chinese-style top, just because I thought of Chinese dragons due to her nickname!
I improvised the landing gear: landing skids skates instead of wheels, just like what you'll find on the U-2's wing tips.
This was supposed to be a quick doodle, and it's still sort of is to a point. I just kept inking even with ink running low on a couple of pens. Her eye design came much later; I didn't bother fitting 'em on the first two panes. I also couldn't tastefully work her single exhaust nozzle on the second pane, so I excluded it.
This Aeromorph thing is a can of worms. I keep asking myself if I'm getting some details right. Look at the guy's shirt. Do airbase personnel wear t-shirts? I don't know what rank to give him, because I don't know much of US Armed Forces.
Then there's the thought of going full mecha on Aeromorph designs. You know, making 'em look less organic. That'll mean going beyond drawing G1-style Transformers. Might have to pick up a book...
Well, it's all a learning experience, isn't it?
I'm thinking of naming her Morena. It means 'black babe' in Spanish.
