Darn right, finally. *Tho funny how the 'angel' is sentenced to have memory erased and be banished or something, but the demon would be sentenced to death, logic.*
I would be thinking about possibly changing the pic and not burn the judge to ashes, but previously he said nothing about the things being called/sentenced as 'irrelevant', and only and just when the proof was just too bright and blinding to ignore/call irrelevant, then and only then, acted the way he did and sentenced Jonty&Clem as innocent, as if previously had no evidence at all to do that -_- ... acting 'fair' and justice-leading only if evidence is just too obvious and everyone would see that it's all just bullshit and not a trial at all and they(all the nethers & vampires) need to rebel against them because they don't do fair trials/justice at all and now have the clear evidence of it.
Well, either way, nice! Finally! :3

actually its very logical. you forget that the death sentence would have been given if the demon was the killer of the angel, meaning the penalty for murder is the death sentence. as it was, the angel in question did attack and attempt murder but failed. hence the banishment and erasure of memory. i'm sure if the angel would have succeeded, he would have been given the death penalty just as well.
Bullying, torture, lying at the trial, breaking the rules and the promise, manipulation, blackmail(of Lifi, the green angel, and even tho the judge doesn't knows about this one, there's still plenty more of stuff that he does knows of) and murder attempt should be punished just as if the murder was successful but whatever, that goes down to personal opinion and I won't judge/argue with you heh.
Aside of that, very cool icon bro ^^

I think ur right about that, Shad is one of the 3 main villains in the story. I remember seeing 3 villains character in the image created by Ripli herself. The first one is Lexus, the second is Shad and the last one.....if u want to know, ur gonna have to ask me to note u. I don't wanna spoil anything without being asked.

yeah no, she had several opportunities to come clean with the judge during the trial or with her mentor in private and she didn't do it so I have no sympathy for her in that regard. I mean, she was merely suspended from going on patrols for the next 12 months. that's a pretty light sentence considering everything that happened so she got off relatively easy there. its not like they gonna lock her up for a whole year or what not. maybe this experience and the stain on her honor and record will be a valuable lesson to her
honestly her mentor was sentenced much more harshly than Lifi was. being prohibited to take on new apprentices for the next 10 years is quite a stain on both his honor and record that he likely won't recover from anytime soon. after all, even after these 10 years are up and the prohibition is lifted, there will be many who quietly whisper whether Ogren can really be trusted with taking on new apprentices again... as for his current apprentices, I'm pretty sure that Iris and Lifi will be reassigned to a new mentor because Ogren apparently can't be trusted in teaching them properly.

Perhaps this is the moment he was waiting for, and why he picked Jonty out of any other mortal to give a Demonic Certificate. Perhaps he wanted a way to either discredit the highers altogether, or put a reason to create more barriers for them to recruit mortals to their service. Based on one of the informational descriptors of some history of Riverdion that was posted a long time ago, it was thanks to the highers that the mortals were able to "resist the invasion of demons" and that time was supposed to be "the last for Riverdion" The mortals were most likely extremely grateful for their assistance, and greatly trusted them ever since. If you go back to the descriptions of demons and angels in this world, literally the first word used to describe them is "evil" and on top of that, they attempted to invade the mortal world. It makes it difficult for the nethers, such as Jonty's contractor, to go "extract the souls of mortals" or other acts that are likely not in the favor of mortal lives. Thus, he needed a way to find a way to break the trust mortals have with the highers or perhaps create a situation where the uppers will no longer be allowed to actively recruit mortals to their aid, both would make it more difficult for the highers to protect the mortals of the world from the nethers. This could be for a plan that would benefit all nethers, himself included, or perhaps it could be for a more elaborate plan where he would need to spread distrust to enact. This is all speculation, but based on the information we have, the result of this trial may be good for the main characters, but has a chance to have negative affects on the entire world.
