If I recall, this is a replica 20-inch mortar, designed (as modern ones are) to lob explosive shot up into a high ballistic arc and rain destruction down on an enemy. As a result, it doesn't have the long range of a gun or howitzer.

If I recall correctly, all of the guns are replicas, the originals having been returned to Britain. The cannon bear Victoria's VR cipher and the year 1859.
