Since the universe that Salem is a part of will be medieval and full of snake people in place of humans, I decided to showcase a snake person warrior clad in fitting armor, and equipped with the most fitting weapon and shield that are most practical for the average soldier. In fitting with Shadiversity's video on what medieval weapons they would use: youtu.be/2uVRKKdIYLI?t=76 the soldiers typically wield a spear to take advantage of their lunge range matching that of a real snake's lunge range, on top of stabbing being the simplest form of attack with a bladed weapon, although more skilled soldiers also use scimitars that are iconic to snake people as well as other swords and axes, and the shield they typically wield is a tower shield so they can protect themselves from enemy weapons, especially when going for the kill by way of constriction against lone enemies where coiling around them and constricting them is practical. In terms of armor, chainmail is a common choice of armor for the soldiers for protecting the serpentine lower body against slashing and slicing attacks of weapons, though unlike Shadiversity's theory, their humanoid upper body is donning plate armor to also protect it from stabbing and thrusting attacks. Some soldiers may even don articulating plate armor on their serpentine lower body for such protection for that portion of their body, especially since their heart is within in and the rest of the anatomy is snake-like.
