"Le Français" (ex-Kaskelot) is a three-mast wooden bark boat, built in Denmark in 1948, for the Royal Greenland Trading Company, renovated in 1983 for the needs of the cinema. The Kaskelot was purchased in September 2018 by Bob Escoffier (Bob Escoffier Maritime Company and was renamed Le Français as the former French Three-masted schooner of the First Charcot Expedition (1903-1905).
His new homeport is now Saint-Malo.
