Actually, he looks happy a bit. :) It results from how beaks of some birds are set, though.

That is amazing. I just love the amount of detail you added from the individual feathering, to the beams of sunlight in the background, and even the glimmer off the bird's eye. I can't imagine how long it must have taken you to do it.
