Growing up without a lot to keep myself entertained in both friends and objects, imagination became a core of warding away boredom. It also leads to flights of fancy, or in this case flights from the top bunk to a pile of pillows. The fall time was indeed short but the sensation was memorized and drawn into the dreams of flight. An escape from the real world for a bird without wings.
