im new to digital art an lookin up youtube vids to help draw in photoshop
currently using real life refrences for poses an training to see simple shapes but the big problem is turning real life into cartoon,anime, anthro art cause everything turns to realistic hehe

smart idea to start with realistic first! When you're in a comfy spot start peppering in some artists you like, or look at some old Disney animation images and concept art (goooooood shiiiit) and dig into those, look at how they take that realism and warp/simplify it to their taste, exaggerating specific shapes to express what they want! I'm still struggling a bit with some anthro face angles. honestly tempted to just spend a whole day screen redrawing Lion King LOL.
