TDI/OSO - SIX! SAME! FACES!
I can’t believe I only just now had the thought of doing this, but my heart feels more complete doing so. In order: Mike, Vito, Chester, Mal, Manitoba, and Svetlana as the Osomatsu-san sextuplets!
--- --- ---
Mike, Osomatsu: The original, the classic, it’s practically required for Mike to fit the bill as Osomatsu. That being said, I did hesitate to put him as this role since emotionally in canon Mike acts a lot like Choromatsu. Not quite as pervy as Oso (or at least not as outspoken), but has equally as little hesitation to mock or tease his siblings, as well as forcibly putting them in their place when they question his leadership as the eldest.
Vito, Karamatsu: Vito already has the pretty boy try-hard role taken down from square one, so taking the place of Karamatsu is a no-brainer. Hit or miss on his tough guy stunts, and the (unfortunate) punching bag of pretty much all his other siblings. Ride or die to protect his siblings, never afraid to throw hands with anyone.
Chester, Choromatsu: This one was tricky, as I mentioned before that in canon I feel like Mike fits the bill on Choromatsu’s personality the best. That said, Chester carries the aura of the “work-driven elitist” the best, so in the end he gets Choromatsu’s role. Emotionally the oldest of the group, always appearing to be busy and working hard, but slacks off just as hard as his siblings. Not quite as literal grandpa status as he is in canon, but still likes a lot of what one would consider old person things.
Mal, Ichimatsu: You kidding? Nobody fits Ichimatsu better than Mal. The dark, brooding, depressed emo of the group? With a dark, sinister aura and murderous intentions that terrify everyone? Has a soft, weak side that he’s terrified to expose to anyone, let alone his own siblings? That has Mal written all over it.
Manitoba, Jyushimatsu: None of the alters are quite as energetic (or eccentric) as Jyushimatsu, but I feel like Manitoba best fits his role with how adventurous, exploratory, and athletic he is. Not quite as hyper as Jyushi, but still carries the highest energy of the siblings. Hyper-fixation changed from baseball to hiking/camping. Probably likes bare-handed hunting and fishing.
Svetlana, Todomatsu: This one was another no-brainer, since Todomatsu is already the most feminine of the sextuplets, and into athletics similar to how Svetlana is. Svetlana’s got a bit more of the “spoiled youngest” personality traits in this AU, though she’s not quite as cold as Todo gets in canon. Probably trans, gay AF, and hyper-closeted at work.
