Life in the Yellow Quail ranch is usually pretty regimented. There's always chores to do, herdbeasts to tend to, and meals to cook. Long days of boring but familiar routine. But every once in a great while, there comes the moment of sheer terror.

There are some emergencies on a ranch that will cause an instant all hands on deck to go out, and everyone will rush out to help. What the emergency is is left to the viewer, but the two most common on a plains ranch are a herdbeast stampede or a tornado. Either requires fast, decisive action to save the herd, the ranch, or both, and Coaad-eet and Ripples will be right there at the front helping out.
