Or scout, really, he's not a plural, but the rest of his troop is!
So you might've wondered what my big, athletic nerd Lockhart was like as a kid, and here's your answer. Bright, vibrant, full of energy, and excitably more sociable than he was before puberty, Lockie was a shoo-in for joining the Scouts when he was old enough. Saying his parents insisted would be a lie, but they were definitely happy to see their little boy out on nature hikes, learning camping and survival skills, and meeting others!
So here's Lockhart on his first day, in full uniform (no badges yet!) saluting his parents Cub Scout style before he no doubt runs off to join the rest of his troop and meet new people! No doubt he'll come back later with a dirty uniform, missing shoes, and cheering about how it was the best day ever. (It also proves his glasses are cosmetic, not actually needed, but shhh!)
Man, he definitely mellowed out into something more shy when he grew up, didn't he?
