A hardy but compact lupine with an honest heart and a self-made sort of gruffness, Hydro is an Iberian tibicena, a mythological demon canine known in Canarian myth. An apprentice weaponsmith and a tavern servant before choosing life as a mercenary, Hydro later found his place and purpose as a Guardian in the Temple of Divinity of Kemet, using his skills as a ranger and archer to protect the people of the Temple.

Thanks to his rural beginnings and supernatural heritage, Hydro retains a cowboyish, rough-around-the-edges personality and a durable physique under his abnormally dense fur coat and mane. Despite his experiences, he's remarkably friendly and optimistic, wearing his heart on his sleeve and always looking forward. On a casual day, it's not uncommon to see him smiling with a big toothy grin as he buries a novice Guardian in his fur for a bear-hug. Keeping himself and his skills sharp is at the top of his priorities, always committed to self-improvement and staunchly bound to duty and loyalty to others. In battle, he prefers ranged combat and craftiness, but his toughness and unarmed skill lets him hold his own in close quarters. Say nothing about his masochistic streak, openly enjoying pain and using his adrenaline as a drive in combat and in more intimate moments.

A lover and a fighter, Hydro spends much of his free time off duty drinking wormwood tea, exercising his body and marksmanship, meditating, and enjoying the company of friends. There's also plenty of time there to dote on the new generation of Guardian greenhorns, and fawn over folks larger and more powerful than himself. Why don't you say hello?

Here's a reference sheet of my woof, done by the awesome violent-pentakill! Hydro is a character I play on TapestriesMUCK, and it was incredible to see him fleshed out and drawn.

I asked her to make him *very* fluffy and give him a wicked mane. I'm more than happy with the results!
