I think experimentation is good when it comes to art. I don’t think you should give up drawing anthros all together, but I think it’s also good to explore different genres and subject matter as well. I actually like your style (and I hate 99% of furry art) so thumbs up from me.

It certainly is :') I keep saying I'm going to practice humans, backgrounds, animating, etc, but I never actually do it. I really should fix that.

Animation is tedious and most of all.....boring XD. It’s so dull and boring animating frame by frame that it almost leads to insanity just to create a 2 second animation. I made a 1 second YCH animation not too long ago and guess how many frames it took for 1 second. 12 frames!!! I had to create 12 frames for 1 second. It’s a pain in the ass. So I can understand why you don’t want to dive straight into it.

An easy animation program that is free is called Creatoon. Give it a google if you have the time. Anyway, good luck with your journey.

Draw and paint what excites you. If that's humans, awesome! If that's furries, excellent. Experimentation is important to keep one's artistic spirit alive but the word "should" can go fuck itself.
