The Sound of Drums.
Anyone who's a fan of Doctor Who will hopefully understand the meaning and rhythm of this poem.
Anyone who isn't... listen. Listen to the drums. The sound of drums.

I kind of saw *that* coming when I first realized exactly what the show was about, I think.
The drumming, I figured it was the heartbeat of a Timelord, but I didn't piece it together that they were returning. >_<;
I think, though, seeing the Doctor cry was my favorite part of the latest episode. TT_TT

Hehe, I called that months ago. :3 I suspected it ever since I heard "the end of time" as the title, and when I heard the preview they released a while back (with the ood saying 'it is returning and he is returning and THEY are returning') I knew for sure.
Nice to know what the drumbeats are though. :3

While I've not watched Dr who since I was a child, your poem Does remind me of somthing i was doing a bit of study on just a few weeks ago.
I was doing a bit of research on Stonehedge after watching an documentary about it. And I had learned that waaaaay back when...They would hold ceremonies there...ok we all knew that..
however what they were researching were how these peoples fell into a trance and saw what they saw, regardless of whether or not the ceremonies were for life or death.
And it was figured out that it was the steady beating of the drums [as well as the flickering of the flames in the torches] Very similar to the effects that people have at Raves.
It's the same concept. Your poem reminds me of that.
