Indeed... he doesn't seem to notice, but the person he got the contract from back then, is looking straight at him, grinning devilishly... I don't know if he's protagonist or an antagonist, but he sure is causing quite a few questions and doubts... what is he plotting... what are his intentions, plans and motives...

Plus just one battle won, doesn't mean it's all over and there won't be any more of them to come...

Interesting if it's really her dad, or someone else.. a friend or relative that simply cares about her, and dad is someone else, but maybe and hopefully it's actually him. Giving him reveal that Lifi is alive and fine, and Jonty or his friends didn't harmed her.

Good eye, interesting if it's really him, it's 'The fallen angel' is actually her dad, or it's someone else, but suspicion points at him indeed. If it is, I'm glad since it shows him that Lifi is alive and fine.. hope that he'll understand that he just misunderstood Jonty's words, and there won't be any reason to seek revenge/dark plotting on him for something he didn't do.
I had a thought, a scenario, that it will all end up with Lifi revealing the truth, Shad killing her, that fallen angel thinking it was Jonty who did it.. and all that would go into just some crazy manipulative & lying extravaganza, where our heroes are being targeted by not only those D-bags, but also someone who seems powerful and doesn't has to be evil but simply was manipulated & lied to.. glad to see it's not the case.. at least I hope it won't be since I always have the darkest possible scenarios and paths before my eyes xd

Is that person in the third frame, that is calling to Shad, a contractor instead of a true higher? Is the one green hair person that seems very unfamiliar to the laws and procedures, on page 19 of chapter 4, a contractor as well? If so, it would seem that so far, only the contractors are causing problems within their legal system. Shad and the one from the stands (on page 17 of chapter 4) have displayed bursts of anger that the few true highers we have seen don't display. The green hair person on page 19 of chapter 4 wished to refuse Jonty and Clementine their rights while the same higher that enforced their rights, also was the one that brought in the newly discovered witness. She had done this even though she knew this would only benefit a contractor of a nether. If she is just a contractor, the one from page 17 of chapter 4 wanted nothing more than for Jonty to suffer, while the green higher on page 41 of chapter 4, will go as far as to protect a nether under the law, since he stepped in to prevent Clementine from abusing Stephen. Another example is how Shad (With the exception of Lifi) and the other contractors had gone out to kill a nether, and wished to do everything they could to have him killed in the trial, even if it was unjust. On page -2 of chapter 4, the higher in charge of them wanted Shad to be quiet about wishing the nether dead so badly. He also wanted to make it blatantly clear to them that the couple are innocent until proven guilty. On page -1 of chapter 4, he wanted to make sure that they had gotten every detail, so there were no details missing from this murder case. He was following procedure and following the law, instead of wanting to use the first bit of evidence they could find, just to kill the contractor of a nether. The point I'm trying to make here is that I believe there is a distinction that should be made between the highers and their contractors. From what I have seen in past comments, there seems to be a negative outlook on all the highers. Unless those two I had described are highers and not contractors, it is only the contractors that seem to be causing problems and doing acts that earn that negative outlook. I apologies for the big block of text within this comment.

It's good to see that Jonty is starting to get out of this situation...but I can see a few things happening.. One, Shad's not done, we already see him running away from the room..I think he's going to do one last thing before his 'fall from grace', he's got a bit of time before that happens after all....two, I think Rygers -MAY- look to collect on his...goodwill. There are so many questions about someone as powerful as him picking a contractor demon that hasn't(and most likely won't) kill anyone.
