A day of modelling, half a day on SFX and a week in rendering results in this, one of the facilities original "Hyperarc" generators, made in the year 2409. These generators work by rotating two bases which agitate ionic gasses, these gasses are then blasted between the two bases and and an electrical arc releases the atoms which are carried away by the flow of electrons and are absorbed into an wad of electrolytic issue located within the bases. These hyperarc generators are not very efficient due to the massive amount of power needed to rotate the bases, its not uncommon to see capacitors nearby storing that starting current needed to get them going. The electrodes also wear out quite quickly, due to the electrical arc between them all the time the material very quickly becomes pitted, brittle and unsafe to use as if left for too long the kinetic force would cause the electrode to crack and eventually explode. due to the gasses these also cannot be easily minimized and are not terribly durable, this is actually quite a small generator, the smallest ive seen though there are more effecient ways to generate power in the 31st century! Im thinking about getting more seriously into the 3d modelling game, and would really like to hone my skills further! though I will probably have to do some optimizations, a dual screen setup is a must! I may also bump up the specs of my PC to better cope with rendering I have a single GTX 1070 and a GTX 760 (not running SLI) though i havent tried running the 1070 on its own yet... Anyways, I hope you enjoy the animation! the sound effects where source from youtube and include
- A 3 phase delta connected motor from a potato factory
- electrical arcing from power station switches (breaking 25kv)
- An air compressor
- hissing pnuematics from CNC Machine regulator valve
