Desmond and Void are mine
__________________________
Desmond lives in a world that is, objectively speaking, considerably more dangerous than our own. Supernatural forces, and entities, are a part of everyday life, and though the world has adapted to them as best they can to stay safe, there is never a day that goes by where danger is not a legitimate fear at the back of one’s mind. A world of stable balance, but tenuous peace, one that feels like one defining event at any time could cause a chain reaction that could lead to war and chaos. For most folk, that fear is enough. For Desmond, ironically, that paranoia is greater, for he is one of those supernatural beings himself.
Though a kitsune, thought to be one of the more insidious types of demons to roam the world, Desmond just wants to live his life in peace, like anyone else, and has carefully used his abilities to serve as a faux hypnotist in an adult boutique. While he has fun facilitating the indulgence of fantasies his clients have, every now and then, a customer comes in who is more than they appear, much like himself.
In this case, his client was what local rumor had going around as the demon “Void”. Of course, Void had come in to the shop in the guise of their original self, leaving no one the wiser, until Desmond had entered his mind as part of his “hypnotism” façade and saw the truth. It was a rather tense, and then awkward, situation as both came to understand both who and what the other was. In the end, they both found common ground in being, essentially, demons with honest hearts.
They also came to an agreement; Void would willingly acquiesce to full access to mind and soul, in the hopes that it would find a way to undo what a demon had done to him to become Void, and Desmond would willingly submit to be assimilated, and released, by Void afterwards. Both, reasonably, had some misgivings about the level of requested vulnerability, but it was a show of mutual trust. To both their dismay, Desmond’s first deep dive into Void’s being yielding nothing in terms of insight of how to restore Void’s body, only confirming the thoroughness of the transformation. Still, both had only hoped, not expected, the solution would be so easy.
Here, we see Desmond making good on his end of the deal. Willing he may be, but he can’t fully suppress his survival instincts that what was going on was very, very bad. It also wasn’t helping much that Void, not having the maintain the tough guy, bestial act up that he does with criminals, was having a little fun at the more leisurely encasement. Already mostly enveloping the kitsune, Void decided to stick his tongue into Desmond’s ear, teasing at a premature access to his brain and enjoying the shiver than ran down his companion’s body. It wouldn’t be long before Void had Desmond completely within him and would begin the process of assimilation, planning to take his time. Though he looks uncertain, Desmond is actually rather intrigued at the process, having simulated it a time or two for his clients and curious to understand how it actually felt in reality.
